- The House
Old Pepperpot House was built in approximately the late 1800’s and is an attractive 6 bedroom house close to the town centre of Littlehampton directly opposite a large ornamental pond in West Sussex.
The house has six good size bedrooms, two are situated on the lower ground floor, with a nominated bathroom, two on the first floor, with a nominated bathroom, and two on the second floor, also with a nominated bathroom, their is also a staff toilet.
There is a small lounge on the first floor which can be used by service users as a quiet room or can be used to hold meetings etc.
The Managers office / sleep in room, is located on the second floor.
On the lower ground floor is located the laundry room which is fully equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer.
The ground floor contains the lounge which is to the front of the house and the large open plan kitchen and dining room.
Access to the garden is via the kitchen. The garden has a good sized patio area with a large garden shed.
Old Pepperpot House will have the use of a house car; equally the town has excellent links to local public transport including bus and rail.
Old Pepperpot House is furnished and decorated to a high standard and offers comfort as well as practical adaptations.
The home has central heating throughout which can be controlled in each room. The home has large double glazed windows which offer good light and ventilation.

- The Area
Littlehampton is a costal town in West Sussex and lies on a costal plain between the South Downs and the sea.
Old Pepperpot House is ideally located close to the harbour and has easy access to the town centre, seafront and mainline train station.
Littlehampton town centre offers a variety of shops, restaurants and café’. On the seafront is Harbour Park amusement park centre, a Seafront Promenade Train runs from the Coastguards Tower and Norfolk Gardens during the summer season, Their is summer entertainment along the promenade which includes live music and old fashioned Punch and Judy shows.
There are a good selection of local facilities such as leisure centres, library, museums and places of local interest.
There are a number of colleges and adult education centres providing short and long term courses.

Facilities and Services
- Meals
Old Pepperpot House staff will prepare nutritious and attractive meals with service user’s assisting with preparation and cooking as much as possible.
Service users will devise a weekly menu with staff support which incorporates likes and dislikes and is nutritionally balanced and varied.
Meal times will be flexible but will consist of breakfast, lunch and evening meal as well as snacks and drinks throughout the day. Staff and service users will eat their meals together in the dining room, or in their bedrooms if the choose.
Service users will be offered choices each day and special dietary requirements, religious and cultural needs will always be catered for. Every effort will be made to accommodate individual choice in regard to meals but at times it may not be possible to cater for six different meal choices.
All meals, snacks, supplements and drinks are provided within the fees for the service at Old Pepperpot House.

- Medical Care
All service users will be registered with a local GP, optician, dentist and any other professional if necessary. Regular health checks will be available for the service users and if they choose will always be supported by staff to attend appointments. Service Users will be encouraged to attend appointments in the community but home visits will be arranged if required.
- Physiotherapy
This can be arranged as necessary
- Chiropody
Chiropody services will be arranged as necessary and a charge might be incurred for these services.
- Hairdressing
All service users will use local community hairdressers and will have to pay for this service individually. If preferred Old Pepperpot House can arrange for a hairdresser to visit the home.
- Telephone
Old Pepperpot House has a portable telephone available for service users to use in private. It is requested that service users inform staff of their intention to use the telephone.
- Benefits Advice
The homes manager / deputy can advise and assist service users with information about Social Security benefits and will assist with claims if necessary.
- Shopping
The food shopping for the home will be carried out by staff with assistance from service users. Service users will be encouraged to carry out their personal shopping themselves with support from staff when required.
- Laundry
Service Users will be encouraged to do their own laundry where possible. Staff members will assist with laundry and will launder all communal items in the home.
- Kitchen
Old Pepperpot House has a large open plan kitchen and dining room which is open to all. Service users are able to help themselves to drinks and snacks as well as helping to prepare meals. Staff will assist service users in keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.
